Defending Objectivity

ABC Watch emerged from a shared concern among Australians regarding the stewardship of our national public broadcaster.

As we (Allies for a Strong Australia) watched the reporting of the war in Gaza and Iran and Lebanon, it became clear that much of the journalism was really activism. This created the permission structure for anti-jewish sentiment in Australia and created deep divisions in our liberal democracy.

We believe the ABC's charter - founded on accuracy, impartiality, and objectivity - when followed should prevent journalists becoming activists advancing their particular agenda. When these values are compromised, democratic discourse suffers and, as we saw at Bondi on December 14, 2025, lives can be put at risk.

Our team, comprised of journalists, academics, and engaged citizens, operates with total transparency. We don't just critique; we monitor. Using systematic protocols, we document editorial decisions and report them to the public, ensuring that every Australian's voice is represented in the broadcaster's mission.
